Hull completely dominated in every department against bottom of the table Stockport to achieve a maximum points haul and consolidate their third place position in the league and add substantially to their points scored record.
The home side registered their first try after just three minutes when left winger Ashley Smith capitalized on his forwards good work when a scrum against the head gave him room to evade a couple of defenders to score near the corner flag. Lee Birch's missed conversion was of little concern as Hull scored again after seven minutes through centre Alex Heard who bullocked his way through several tackles to register Hull's second try.
The conversion attempt was missed but alrerady Hull were completely outclassing their opponents.
After fourteen minutes another flowing move by the home side was rounded off by scrum half Harvey Harding and Lee Birch converted .From the Stockport kick off Hull then secured possession and second row Kieran McDonald raced fifty yards for Hull's fourth try which secured their bonus point after just sixteen minutes. Lee Birch converted that try and moments later following an Alex heard break he was on hand to score another try for Hull which he converted .
Stockport stemmed the flow of points for a few minutes but with Hull being allowed to play open rugby it was just a matter of time before they scored again .After thirty five minutes Hull's number eight Joe Stafford powered over for a converted try and straight from the kick off Hull ran the length of he field for scrum half Harvery Harding to score the half's final try converted by Lee Birch to see Hull lead 43-0 at the break and the game over as a contest.
The second half saw the Hull side score after five minutes when they retained possession for over fifteen phases leaving Tomasi Tanumi clear to touch down in the left hand corner .Lee Birch's magnificent conversion adding to Stockport's woes.
Four minutes later Lee Birch side stepped half the Stockport side in a sixty yard burst to the line for a try that he converted himself.Almost immediately Hull's centre Joe Martin burst through the weak tackling of the visitors to score Hull's tenth try which Lee Birch duly converted. It took Hull another ten minutes to score their next try which was a copy book catch and drive from a lineout scored by Hull's captain and hooker Tom Rice. Centre Joe Martin strode over for Hull's final try after eighty minutes and with both Hull's last two tries being converted they had amassed a massive seventy six points. In between those last two tries a lack of concentration and a careless kick by Hull saw the visitors take full advantage and their off half Scott Redfern scored and converted his try to register his sides seven points and remind Hull that mistakes can be punished even by sides at the bottom of the league.
